This HDMI to VGA adapter lets you connect an HDMI output from your laptop, ultrabook or desktop computer to a VGA monitor or projector, saving you the cost of upgrading to an HDMI-compatible display. Intended for outputting user-generated content such as presentations and work documents, the HDMI to VGA adapter can also work to increase your productivity by extending your computer desktop onto a second monitor, doubling your available work space.
This adapter contains a chipset that enables the conversion from HDMI (digital) to VGA (analog), and also adds the audio stream to the HDMI signal.
This chip requires power, which in this converter is fully supplied via the USB Micro connector. Connect an optional USB Micro - USB cable to a free USB port on your PC or notebook, or if you have no free ports, to a USB charger.
On the back of the adapter there is an additional 3.5 mm output. If you also want to transmit sounds, you must connect an audio cable to the 3.5 mm jack output. For this, the television screen must also be equipped with a speaker set.
With the added Micro-USB external power source and support for resolutions up to 1080p (1920x1080), this active HDMI to VGA adapter provides a compact and portable solution for connecting a high-definition VGA display.
